IELTSのサンプル解答です。筆者はIELTSライティングで7.0以上の取得を目指して勉強しています。特にTask 2では、与えられた質問に適切に答えることが求められますが、そのためには思考を整理することが必要だと考えています。この記事では、自分がどのように筋道を立ててエッセイを作っているのかを文章にしています。
Topic Question
Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

ブレインストーミング
Topicは、「外国語を話す環境（海外）での生活は、社会的・実践的な問題を引き起こしうる」です。
設問に、agree or disagree?とあるので、Argumentタイプのエッセイであることが分かります。
Argumentタイプでは、何にAgree（賛成）して、何にDisagree（同意しない）なのかを明確にする必要があります。よって、以下でそれぞれのポイントを整理したいと思います。
- コミュニケーションの問題（Social problems）
- 新しい友達を作ることが困難
- （理由）外国語で自分の思っていることを伝えることが難しいから
- 病院や健康に関わる問題（Practical problems）
- 医療システムが国ごとに異なることに加えて、医療の専門用語を外国語で理解することは更に困難
- 海外に住んでいても助けてくれる人がいれば、大きなSocial & Practical problemsは起こらない
- （例）自分がフィリピンに住んでいた時、家の大家さんが様々な場面で助けてくれた
- おかげで、何か問題が起こる前に対処することができた
賛成と反対の立場を挙げた上で、筆者は「人によっては海外生活でも大きな問題なく過ごすことができるが、多くの人がSocial & Practical problemsに直面するだろう。」という意見です。
つまり、自分は基本的にTopic StatementにAgree（賛成）の立場をエッセイ全体で取っていきます。
自分の意見は、IntroductionとConclusionの部分で、I think～やI believe～という形で述べていきます。
筆者の解答例
（Introduction）
Living abroad can involve many difficulties such as communication problems and culture shock. Although it may not be an issue getting used to a foreign environment for some, I believe most people face challenges at first.
（Body 1: Disagree with the topic）
The challenges brought by the language barrier and culture shock when living abroad may be overcome if someone offers guidance. For instance, I resided in the Philippines for several years, where my native language, Japanese, is not spoken. Yet, since my landlord was a Filipino who had worked in Japan before and understood Japanese culture very well, he guided me whenever I encountered difficulties and gave me a hand. With this help, I could deal with the problems before they, if ever, become serious.
（Body 2: Agree with the topic）
However, not everyone can meet such a person as him. People are most likely to experience communication strains living in foreign countries. First and foremost, it may be challenging to make new friends. Speaking in a foreign language, people may find it challenging to express what they have on their minds and have smooth conversations with others. In addition, some serious troubles may occur when people face health issues. Medical systems may vary from country to country, and additionally, medical terms in a foreign language are more difficult to understand. Hence, many challenges can be observed residing in a country where smooth communication is not assured.
（Conclusion）
To conclude, even though some may find it easier to fit into a new culture thanks to support from the locals, I think many people still face difficulties such as making new friends or solving health issues smoothly.
