What are some possible solutions to this situation?

Environmental damage is a serious issue nowadays due to excessive production by companies. To tackle this issue, I believe there are two possible solutions. One is utilizing renewable energy for electricity, and the other is the localization of manufacturing processes.
Utilizing renewable energy such as solar and wind power can help reduce environmental damage because it does not emit carbon dioxide. According to some data, climate change has been caused by the excessive amount of CO2 emissions, which most likely originated from burning fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas. However, let us suppose companies adopt more clean energy, such as solar and wind power, for their manufacturing processes. With the use of clean energy sources, it is going to have a positive impact on the environment with less emissions of carbon dioxide.
Another point is the localization of manufacturing processes, which will help reduce the transport of products from country to country. For example, it takes a lot of time and energy to transport raw materials and products beyond borders because high energy consumed transportations such as airplanes and cargo ships are involved. Localization, however, is a process to procure raw materials and consume products within home countries as much as possible, which will eventually help save the excessive usage of energy, leading to an environmental-friendly planet.
I believe that if the execution of the utilization of renewable energy and localization in manufacturing processes is expedited, we can surely lessen the environmental damage caused by surplus production from companies.
